Muirhead’s Silver Seal 16 Year Old is a Speyside Single Malt Scotch Whisky distilled in Scotland and aged in oak casks for a minimum of 16 years. Speyside is a whisky producing region in the north eastern corner of Scotland. The region derives its name from the River Spey, which runs through the center and is famous for its salmon fishing and whisky. Speyside’s whiskies tend to be sweeter, lighter in the body and one of the finest in the world.
The name “Muirhead” means “Head of the Moor”or “Highest point of the Moor”. The bottle is embellished with a silver seal over a plaid ribbon, printed with phrase reading “Auxilio Dei”which according to the distillery translates to “By the help of God”.

Appearance: Mild tan colour.
Aroma: A rich and full nose, with a strong character. There are notes of dried fruit, chocolate and herbs.
Palate: Sweet and exceptionally well rounded. Toffee and barley sugar with a hint of smoke and peat.
