The Kollaras portfolio continues to demonstrate exceptional quality, with recent tasting reviews received from Wine Orbit’s esteemed wine reviewer Sam Kim. Mr Kim has been judging wines for over 20 years and is one of the globe’s most highly regarded wine experts, having been on judging panels of some of the world’s most significant wine shows.
Uppercut Shiraz from the Barossa region received a well-deserved 93 points. Marketing Manager, Georgia Kollaras, said that the team were elated but not surprised.
A multi-award winner since its release, the St Augustus wine range also continued its winning form, receiving 90 and 91 on both the Shiraz and Sauvignon Blanc.
This review follows a winning performance in a recent Drinks Trade Magazine blind tasting, which named the Shiraz as Best Value. Ms Kollaras also explained that Two Truths was not only a top-quality South Australian Shiraz that thoroughly deserved its high praise, but its funky vibe had proved a favourite amongst consumers since its release earlier this year.
Lastly, whilst Kollaras & Co’s Kamana was only launched last month, the wine has been a hit due to the freshness and explosive flavours that New Zealand’s Marlborough region is world famous for. Hailing from a world-famous vineyard founded in 1996, Ms Kollaras says she expects to see more applause for this brand in the near future.
“Pleasure in the job puts perfection in the work; Bringing these brands to life has been really rewarding. It’s so fantastic to see not only our brands achieving the recognition that they so highly deserve – but it’s also a huge credit to our passionate teams who work tirelessly to ensure Kollaras & Co put their best foot forward time and time again.”
